Our Mission

Our mission is to provide the kids ages 3-16 years old with opportunities and resources. We are dedicated through our core values of developing a strong work ethic, personal discipline, honesty, and respect to inspire youth and others to make positive decisions throughout their lives.

Our Founder: Jim Cook

Jim Cook is the founder of Midwest Sports Academy, a community-driven,
non-profit organization dedicated to making a difference in people’s lives.
After years of contemplation and having the goal of launching a non-profit
organization benefiting area residents, Jim established the Midwest Sports
Academy in 2008. In May of 2013, the organization became a fully formed
501(C)(3) organization, based in Huntley and serving other Fox Valley
communities. Jim is also co-chair of the Martin Luther King celebration for the
Elgin community. For the last 12 years, he has dedicated his time to providing
resources for underprivileged families, mentoring youths, and most recently,
expanding the Midwest Sports Academy programs in the surrounding communities.

“Building connection and resources; never expect rejection.”

“This is a time of the year where families really need help. We want to put into practice the universally known truth that “it is more blessed to give than to receive”. Please join us this holiday season and bring joy to families that deserve it but are not able to afford a true Thanksgiving meal. “Help make this a Thanksgiving these families will never forget.”
